Sunday 4th of April, It’s been a month since I came back to Thailand to sort out my visa. It’s been pretty boring because I’ve got nothing to do, no job, no projects, I’m just lounging around at home. Luckily however, my friend Gina introduced me to new badminton club “Angel Badminton” where I’ve met loads of lovely people. They meet to play badminton almost everyday and doing some sport relaxes me and makes me spend less time overthinking about my work.
The week before the competition started, Gina received a phone call from P’Thew saying that she would like to organise badminton competition and asking of we would like to sign up. We had noting to do so why not? We were in! The rule was all members would be divided into two groups; newcomers and regulars (Sadly that I was put in the weaker one :< ). Then the committee picked out the names of players at random, from proficient players to amateur to group teams. Each team would play 3 rounds, with the winning teams progressing to the knock-outs.
We all had a great time and the winners were Nut and P’Bow who got 600 baht as a reward! Fun and games aside, the highlight of all this was all of us going out for dinner together at a street restaurant under the Rama 9 expressway. The restaurant served typical northeastern food (see pictures below). I’d like to say thank you to P’Thew for organising a brilliant outing. This was definitely one of the best parts of my time in Bangkok. Hope you guys enjoy the photos ; )
